Transitions
Its fall
The hot is transitioning into cold
The trees leaves are changing colors
And as you watch them zoom by in the moving car
The leaves sway
And then drop
And you’d probably think, that maybe looking at these leaves falling you would somehow correlate it with the darkness of Death
You see the funny thing about trees is they shed their beauty each and every year
And still spit out oxygen so we can breathe
They don’t complain they simply die
And then are reborn
And gain more beauty than they did before
And I’d like to think of heartbreak this way
I’d like to say as we’re dying inside we get prettier almost everyday
Like everyday the weather changed
During the transition into fall you still have your warm days
And suddenly the days get colder and colder
And for a while you think it will never change
But just like the days got colder
Those days got warmer
And abruptly you were magically reborn
into a person who now loved and respected themselves more
